chris peddigrew

Chris maintains a general legal practice, but he is primarily focused in the areas of labour and employment law and alternative dispute resolution as a Labour Arbitrator, Mediator and Workplace Investigator, helping employees, unions and employers resolve a wide range of workplace disputes. Chris is an active member of the Newfoundland and Labrador provincial roster of labour arbitrators and is Vice-Chair of the Newfoundland and Labrador Labour Relations Board.

Besides his work in the areas of labour and employment law, Chris also advises clients who are purchasing, selling or refinancing real estate (both residential and commercial properties) and advises clients in the areas of corporate transactions, wills, general litigation and personal injury.  

Chris graduated from Memorial University with a Bachelor of Commerce (Co-operative) Honours degree in 1999. In 2003, Chris graduated from Dalhousie University Schulich School of Law and in 2004, he was called to the Bar in this Province.

Chris is Chair of the Board of Directors of St. Patrick’s Mercy Home Foundation and is the Provincial Branch Chair of the Canadian Bar Association Alternative Dispute Resolution section and a member of the National Executive of the Alternative Dispute Resolution section. Chris regularly presents at the Law Society’s Annual Bar Admissions Course on the topic of starting and operating a small law firm.

allison wade

Allison is a corporate lawyer and tax specialist advising clients at all stages of business ownership. Her practice is focused in corporate reorganizations, purchase and sale of businesses, business start-up planning, succession planning, incorporation of professionals, wills, estate planning and probate services. Allison also provides general corporate advice across a variety of industries and is experienced in drafting and reviewing contracts, shareholder agreements, and leases. She specializes in estates and post-mortem planning, helping clients navigate executorship and the estate administration process. She works closely with accountants, advisors and financial institutions to help her clients achieve their goals.

Allison graduated from Memorial University of Newfoundland with a Bachelor of Commerce (Co-op) (Hons) and Bachelor of Arts (French). She obtained her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Ottawa in 2013. Allison furthered her tax training by completing Parts I, II, and III of CPA Canada’s In-Depth Tax Program.  

Allison is a part time instructor in Memorial University Faculty of Business Administration’s MBA program in Social Enterprise and Entrepreneurship and is a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation.
